Halcyon Selects: Silver Swans – Let It Happen
Silver Swans is an electro dream pop duo that grabbed our attention already since 2011, after earning a bit of buzz with their EP Secrets and the cover for Lana del Rey’s song “Video Games”. Ann and Jon are still far from media’s mass attention, something that makes them one of music industry’s best well kept secrets. On February 7 they released their first full length titled “Forever”, which is a wonderful album full of dreamy, sexy and mysterious melodies, accompanied by Ann Yu’s fragile and sensitive voice, often reminding us the sound of The Knife and The School of Seven Bells. “Let It Happen”, one of the best songs of the LP, is the first emerging single and its video clip was premiered just yesterday on the website of NYLON magazine. Although we had greater expectations than this, it still worths your attention so we undoubtedly reccomend it to you all.
