Self Service: Sharp Dressed Man

Sharp dressed man

It seems like John Varvatos definitely favours rockers over models and designated celebrities for his campaigns to the point where one may think he’d rather be a columnist for Rolling Stone than a successful designer. Over the past 4 years Varvatos has used Perry Farrell, Chris Cornell and Franz Ferdinand as the faces of his previous collections. Now he’s gone one step beyond and picked ZZ Top for his Autumn campaign. The band’s white whiskers and general resemblance to a troupe of nineteenth-century gold prospectors may seem like an odd choice, but considering his equally successful campaigns with gents such as Alice Cooper, Scott Weiland and Iggy Pop, all bets are currently off.
